Stattic:erratic is John Box and Lachlan Gale, two Melbournians residing for the time being in Japan (John in Osaka and Lach in Ebino, Miyazaki Prefecture). The two met just before leaving Australia in July 2010 and have kept in contact through email sharing sounds, band recommendations and experiences.

JOHN
John Box is a Melbourne based drummer. His work with Australian bands Dad They Broke and Pissbolt, as well as the Osaka based Birushanah is reflected in his recent forays into digital manipulation which explores percussive sounds and textures.
LACH
Lachlan Gale is an Australian noise artist and photographer. In Australia his work mainly takes the form of creative collaboration-based relationships, exploring the forms of audio-visual performance. In Japan his activities emphasise a more hermetic approach to recording and collaboration, representing more cultural and experiential landscapes. His work, in both solo and collaborative modes, explores the friction between highly artificial and organic tonalities.
